Maryland women’s soccer travels to Minnesota

Maryland (0-7-2 B1G) travels to Minneapolis to accept on Minnesota (four-3-ii B1G) on Sunday at 2 p.one thousand.

Maryland has struggled all season but especially equally of belatedly, losing its last three games and declining to score in its final four games.

Minnesota bounced back from ii straight losses against ranked teams in Penn Country and Rutgers with a i-0 win over Purdue on Th. Minnesota'south joint peak-scorer, freshman midfielder Sophia Boman, grabbed a tardily goal in the 83rd minute to requite the Gophers the win.

Leone hopes that Maryland tin can go on to meliorate and become a positive upshot at Minnesota.

"We played much better than nosotros did confronting Iowa [against Wisconsin] and then we felt similar we got our game back," Leone said. "Nosotros're keeping the ball decently, defending decently, we just got to get our legs back so that we can really requite it everything we got."

Maryland is 2-4 all-time against Minnesota, but won the nearly recent matchup between the two last flavor ii-0, with goals from redshirt junior forward Alyssa Poarch and senior forward Mikayla Dayes giving the Terps the win.
